Nscale secures $3.36B convertible financing ahead of US IPO
British AI neocloud Nscale has raised $3.36 billion in convertible financing ahead of its planned US IPO. The round, led by hedge fund Third Point, includes $2.36 billion immediately available and an additional $1 billion from existing investor Nvidia, to be received in mid-November. The notes convert into equity upon IPO completion. Nscale filed IPO paperwork last week, aiming for a valuation of $35 billion on the NYSE and seeking to raise $3 billion. Since spinning out of Australian crypto mining company Arkon Energy two years ago, Nscale has accumulated over $103 billion in contracts. The company is developing data center campuses in Norway and West Virginia.
