Google Cloud Releases CCaaS 5.0 with Routing and Timing Features
Google Cloud has released version 5.0 of its Contact Center AI (CCAI) Platform, introducing disposition timing controls that let agents attribute wrap-up time and notes to previous interactions, and an API-driven chat routing option that directs incoming chats based on external API responses. The release also includes roughly two dozen bug fixes addressing Salesforce integration issues, reporting inaccuracies, and agent desktop stability. Despite the full-stack platform built natively on Google Cloud, CCAI Platform remains absent from both Gartner's 2025 Magic Quadrant and Forrester's Q2 2025 Wave for CCaaS. Google positions CCAI Platform as a delivery mechanism for Gemini Enterprise for CX, working alongside CRM systems rather than competing as a standalone CCaaS, which may explain its exclusion from analyst rankings.
