Stefan Mölling named CCO at Ströer
Ströer, a German marketer and adtech provider, is restructuring its media business leadership to prepare for its next phase of transformation. Stefan Mölling, currently CEO of RMS (and previously Co-CEO until March 2024), will join Ströer as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) by March 1, 2027. He will take over commercial strategy, sales, marketing, portfolio, pricing, and commercial operations across OOH, DOOH, digital video, and open web. Mölling will share operational responsibility with Sven Scheffler, who becomes COO (retaining his CTO role), and Alexander Stotz, CEO of Ströer Media Deutschland. Marc Schmitz, CEO of Ströer Content Group, is leaving. This reorganization is part of Ströer's transformation into an integrated platform provider, aiming to establish 'Real World' as a new advertising category.
Ströer CEO Udo Müller Becomes Sole Leader
Ströer co-founder Udo Müller (63) is again leading the Cologne-based out-of-home advertising group alone as of early April 2026 after long-time co-CEO Christian Schmalzl (52) relinquished his mandate effective 31 March. Schmalzl had shared the boardroom with Müller for nine years and led operations since 2012; in January he announced he would not extend his contract beyond 2028. Ströer also announced that CFO Henning Gieseke (55) will leave the company on 4 June, with an advanced search underway for a successor who will additionally assume COO responsibilities. Müller, the founder and major shareholder, said the reorganised leadership and structure aim to accelerate Ströer's transformation into a platform business and exploit efficiency and margin opportunities from artificial intelligence.
The Tower in Stuttgart: Ströer übernimmt die Vermarktung des LED-Video-Boards am Pragsattel
Ströer, a German out-of-home advertising specialist, has taken over the marketing for a 72-square-meter LED video board at the Stuttgart Pragsattel. The screen, located on the historic Mahle-Hochbunker, will be branded 'The Tower' and become part of Ströer's Iconic Screen Collection. This strategic location is a major traffic hub connecting federal roads B27, B10, and B295, as well as a key route from the A81 motorway. According to Ströer, the site can generate up to 249,000 advertising contacts daily. The company aims to attract advertisers targeting commuters, business travelers, and consumers in the Stuttgart metropolitan region. This move expands Ströer's national DOOH portfolio and strengthens its presence in the digital out-of-home market.
