Android Users Can Now Help Airlines Find Lost Luggage

Google announced a set of Android features in its March Pixel Drop update, including a new Find Hub capability that lets users with Find Hub–compatible tracker tags generate a secure URL to share with participating airlines to help locate lost luggage. The link expires after seven days and sharing is disabled automatically once the phone detects the luggage is back with the user. More than 10 global carriers — including Ajet, Air India, China Airlines, Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Airlines), Saudia, Scandinavian Airlines and Turkish Airlines — accept Find Hub locations for baggage recovery. Google also unveiled other updates: direct real‑time location sharing in Google Messages, a short‑form videos feed in Google Play to improve app discovery, Phone app “Calling Cards” for personalized incoming call screens, Circle to Search enhancements (including a “Find the Look” tool and “Try It On”), and Pixel Watch feature additions.

Sun Express Unveils Stunning 3D Ads on London's Iconic Screens

London’s Outernet screens host a new 3D advertising campaign for Sun Express, the 1989 joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines. The campaign uses anamorphic 3D on standard DOOH displays and includes a QR code for a prize, with Metads handling creation, animation, rendering, and the ad server for programmatic delivery. Metads, a Düsseldorf-based company founded in 2023, has previously executed 3D campaigns on New York’s Broadway and Berlin’s Alexanderplatz and plans further international large-format deployments. Sun Express CMO Benedikt Sieweke says the activation elevates the brand’s message and delivers a 'wow' effect, while Metads CEO Lukas Flöer emphasizes the goal of making advertising more engaging and less obstructive for consumers. Flöer is listed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30. The campaign highlights collaboration between a traditional airline brand and a German technology provider, showcasing immersive, screen-based formats in major urban centers.
