A new data alliance is forming among eleven private radio stations and broadcasters in Germany, united under Quantyoo to centrally market audio content and enforce a uniform quality standard. In addition to joint advertising, the partners aim to develop new data-driven products and leverage a shared data pool. Quantyoo’s technology, developed by Antenne Bayern over three years and already used in-house since 2017, will be spun out as a dedicated service provider. The member group includes Antenne Bayern, Antenne Niedersachsen, BB Radio, Broadcast Sachsen, Bayerische Lokalradio-Werbung, Funkhaus Halle, Landeswelle Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Radio/Tele FFH, Radio Hamburg, Radio NRW and RTL Radio Center Berlin. Data originates from stations’ websites and apps, and the alliance will track streaming behavior and store title-level events for identifiable users to deliver real-time insights to programmakers. RMS is a partner, GDPR compliance is highlighted, and a market-ready DMP is planned. The Munich-based GmbH will commence with seven employees under Matthias Ross, the current BI & Data lead at Antenne Bayern.
