Orange Advertising

Orange Advertising is a orange SA’s media sales house for TV, mobile and web.

Analyst Perspective

Orange Advertising is the advertising sales house of Orange SA. It sells and operates advertising inventory across Orange-owned digital properties, mobile applications and TV environments, and supplements this with operator-data targeting, addressable TV, audience segmentation, campaign measurement and bespoke brand operations through Orange Ad Factory. The unit serves advertisers, media agencies, retailers and media planners that want premium inventory inside telecom-owned environments and data-enabled TV and digital campaigns. The business makes money through direct media sales, packaged multi-screen campaigns, premium TV and digital formats, and value-added data and measurement services. Its product set spans inventory monetisation, addressable TV, contextual and mobility advertising, catalogue digitisation for retailers, and campaign analytics. The customer base is firmly B2B, centred on brands and agencies buying media and targeting solutions rather than end consumers.

Category Differentiation

This is Orange SA’s advertising sales house, not the full telecom group’s consumer connectivity business. It is a media monetisation and data activation division, not an independent adtech software vendor or a standalone publisher brand.

Orange Advertising: About

The business model combines owned-inventory monetisation with data-enabled advertising services. Orange Advertising aggregates ad supply across Orange web, app and TV properties, packages that supply into campaign offers for advertisers and agencies, and increases yield through telecom-derived audience targeting, addressable TV, measurement and special operations. Value is created by pairing trusted owned media environments with deterministic operator data, then selling campaigns through direct commercial relationships and premium multi-screen offers.

How Orange Advertising Works & Monetises

Business model analysis and core revenue streams

Orange Advertising monetises through direct IO-based media sales, CPM-priced digital and TV inventory, premium pricing for addressable TV and cross-screen packages, and value-added charges embedded in targeting, segmentation and measurement services. Additional revenue comes from bespoke special operations, retail catalogue digitisation and campaign analytics. The commercial model is primarily media monetisation with secondary data and measurement upsell layers.

European Media Marketplace Formed by Telcos and Retailers

A coalition of major European telcos, retailers, data businesses and ad tech firms has launched the European Media Marketplace, a collaborative initiative that offers advertisers a single access point to buy inventory and activate campaigns across CTV, video, display, native and retail media using partner datasets. Founding members include T Advertising Solutions (Deutsche Telekom), Equativ, Experian, lastminute.com, leboncoin and Kleinanzeigen (Adventia), Orange Advertising, Vinted, Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone. The group says partners will retain control of their inventory, data and commercial strategies while enabling unified activation and AI-powered activation within a privacy-by-design framework, storing consented profiles in Europe. The marketplace will initially roll out in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, with the first campaigns expected to go live in September 2026, and the founders position the initiative as a European sovereign alternative to U.S. ad giants.

Orange Advertising Chooses Pubstack ONE After RPM Uplift

On 22 January 2026 Orange Advertising selected Pubstack ONE to power its monetisation infrastructure across Web, in-stream video and in-app environments. The choice followed a strategic review and a head-to-head test in August 2025 against a leading competitor in which Pubstack delivered a two‑digit uplift in RPM and offered greater operational flexibility and transparency. Orange Advertising — a telco-owned ad sales house reaching over 30 million monthly unique visitors and managing Orange’s digital properties and partner apps such as Bonjour RATP, Mappy, ViaMichelin and Moovit — said its prior internal solution was increasingly hard to evolve. Pubstack ONE will deliver no-code control for ad stack design and optimisation, plus Pubstack’s In-Stream header bidding and server-side Prebid capabilities for iOS and Android to unify automated monetisation across environments.
