Lufthansa Cargo Posts Profitable H1 2026 Growth

Lufthansa Cargo reported stronger revenue and profit in the first half of 2026, driven by sustained demand and increased capacity. Revenue rose 16% to €1.92 billion, while adjusted operating profit (Adjusted EBIT) increased 47% to €199 million, lifting the EBIT margin to 10.4%. Available capacity and traffic each grew by 5% (to 7.21 billion and 4.6 billion freight tonne-kilometres respectively) and utilization improved to 63.8%. The company cited its “BOLD MOVES” growth strategy, opened the first phase of the LCCevo freight hub in Frankfurt (≈€600m investment), and created a new company, GlobeCross, to consolidate digital logistics and customs services for cross-border e-commerce.
