Restate raises $20M for durable AI agent infrastructure
Restate, a Berlin-based startup providing durable execution infrastructure for AI agents and backend applications, has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by European VC Singular, with participation from Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures. The company has now raised a total of $27 million. Its technology ensures resilience against crashes and network interruptions, which is critical for AI agent workflows. Used by hundreds of companies, including Replit and Fortune 500 firms, Restate will use the funds for product development and expansion into the United States, including a new commercial hub in San Francisco. The founders previously created Apache Flink, an open-source real-time data processing technology.
