FH Graubünden Launches Advanced Communication CAS
FH Graubünden will launch a part-time Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) titled Advanced Communication Strategy in March 2027. The program targets communications professionals and leaders and is hosted at the Institute for Multimedia Production (IMP). The curriculum emphasizes strategic communication alongside topics such as artificial intelligence, data literacy, change processes, and ethical responsibility. Course content will be delivered by practitioners from industry, media and academia and will include practical visits and project work. Program director Sebastian Drews says participants will work with experts on their own communication challenges in real-world settings such as network organizations, agencies and media companies. Study links excessive online time to stress and worse mood
Researchers at the University of Duisburg‑Essen published a study in PLOS One finding that problematic (excessive) internet use is associated with higher stress, worse mood, and neglect of other activities. The German survey included 900 adults who had used video games, online pornography, social networks or online shopping at least once in the prior year. Participants completed nightly questionnaires for two weeks; the perceived inner urge to go online was identified as the main driver of continued problematic use. The article also references rising problematic use among minors (DAK study), a FOM survey about Gen Z wanting less screen time, and a US court ruling against the tech companies behind Instagram and YouTube that awarded a plaintiff $3 million in damages.
