Bauer Media acquires eisbach.media, enters German DOOH market
Bauer Media Group is expanding its out-of-home (OOH) advertising business by acquiring eisbach.media, a Berlin-based Digital-Out-of-Home (DOOH) marketer, from the Swiss Goldbach Group. This marks Bauer's entry into the German OOH market and includes access to approximately 1,500 digital screens across Germany, including in shopping centers, digital city-light posters, and at Berlin's Uber Platz. Financial details were not disclosed, and the deal is subject to regulatory approval. The sale is part of Goldbach's strategic focus on Switzerland, following cost-cutting measures and job reductions. For Bauer, the acquisition complements its earlier purchase of Clear Channel Europe-North, strengthening its European OOH footprint and positioning OOH as a third revenue pillar alongside publishing and audio.
Goldbach Group: Two Executives Depart in Reorganization
Swiss ad sales house Goldbach Group is reorganizing its video advertising business following the integration of Goldbach Audience into Goldbach Media. As part of this restructuring, Chief Commercial Officer Raoul Gerber and Managing Director of Goldbach Audience Stefan Wagner are leaving the company. The integration was announced in September and is now complete. CEO Christoph Marty praised both executives for their contributions. From November, the company's video inventory marketing will be led by Alexander Duphorn as Chief Portfolio Officer, Carsten Kollmus as Chief Commercial Officer, and Thomas Spiegel as Chief Operating Officer. Goldbach plans to unify its video advertising under a 'Total Video' strategy combining linear TV, replay ads, digital video, and connected TV. The company aims to simplify campaign planning, booking, and evaluation across channels, unifying internal processes and sales teams. First cross-channel offerings are planned for 2027.
