Senior Security Engineer, Anti-Abuse

This Senior Software Engineer role on the Anti-Abuse team within Security Foundations builds foundational security primitives to protect Snowflake from fraud, account takeovers, data exfiltration, and AI security threats. The engineer will design and scale security-by-default capabilities, develop AI/ML-driven risk scoring platforms, and build real-time detection and prevention systems. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in Python, SQL, and one of JavaScript, Java, C, C++, or Go.

Develops and enhances detection systems to identify fraudulent activity and bot attacks in real-time. Collaborates with data science and security teams to build scalable detection pipelines and improve response mechanisms.

This Principal Software Engineer role leads the technical strategy for abuse and fraud detection across the entire Snowflake platform. The engineer will architect high-throughput telemetry pipelines and risk-scoring engines to analyze millions of queries and transactions, and design mitigation systems for abusive workloads. The role requires 12+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or security engineering, with significant focus on anti-abuse or fraud detection.

This Software Engineer role on the Integrity Foundations team develops systems to detect and prevent abuse, including financial fraud, botting, and scripting, across OpenAI's platform. The role involves building robust defenses against adversarial threats, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and responding to active incidents. Requires at least 3 years of software engineering experience and experience with production backend services and data pipelines, with a tech stack including Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, Python, Postgres, and Kafka.

Provide customer support in Korean and English, resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. The role involves handling inquiries and troubleshooting problems for clients remotely from Metro Manila.

Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights for business and product teams. Create dashboards and reports to monitor key performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making and optimization.

This role manages monetization strategies for rewarded ad products, optimizing ad placements and revenue while maintaining user experience. The manager will work on ad inventory and yield optimization to maximize revenue.
