Senior Software Engineer

Designs, develops, and owns scalable distributed systems for Zeta's multichannel marketing platform. Builds microservices, data pipelines, and RESTful APIs using Java, Python, Ruby, and frameworks like FastAPI and Spring, with event-driven processing via Kafka. Implements observability, investigates production incidents, and integrates generative-AI APIs with production guardrails.

This Senior Systems Engineer role is responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise-level infrastructure, including data center operations, hardware platforms, virtualization, backups, and networking. The engineer will lead projects to modernize and automate infrastructure, focusing on private cloud implementation and configuration management using tools like Foreman, Puppet, and Ansible. Requires 10+ years of Linux/Unix administration, 3+ years of OpenStack engineering, and 5+ years of VMware experience, with scripting skills in Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python.

Provides hands-on technical leadership for Zeta's Forecasting and Recommendations platforms, focusing on production-grade AI and agentic systems. Architects and operates high-throughput, low-latency distributed services, including APIs, data pipelines, model inference, and agent orchestration using LLMs like GPT and Claude. Champions observability, reliability, and incident response while setting technical direction for the domain.

This Senior Systems Administrator role manages day-to-day infrastructure operations, including data center support, hardware, OS, virtualization, and backups. Responsibilities include system builds, patching, user administration, and assisting with data center consolidation. Requires 4+ years of Linux/Unix administration, Windows domain administration, and scripting skills.

Captures customer requirements and collaborates with engineering to document user stories, data flows, business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement specifications (FRS), and use cases. Ensures product features align with customer needs and supports successful product delivery.
