Sierra, an enterprise AI company, has acquired Takeoff, a startup specializing in long-horizon AI agents. The combined teams will develop Horizon, a joint platform for long-running, outcome-driven enterprise agents that can execute multi-step tasks over days or weeks. Takeoff grew from $0 to nearly eight figures in annual recurring revenue in seven months with a three-person team, securing seven-figure contracts across five industries. The acquisition aligns with Sierra's strategy to scale industry-specific AI agents globally. Sierra recently closed a $950 million Series E at a $15 billion valuation and has over 40% of the Fortune 50 as customers. The company also achieved FedRAMP High authorization and named SoftBank Corp as its exclusive Japan sales partner, indicating expansion into federal and international markets.
