Unity Partners with PvX for Game Developer Funding
Unity has partnered with PvX to offer user acquisition financing to mobile game studios and consumer app developers. The partnership, announced on October 27, 2026, allows qualifying developers to secure funding for marketing without giving up equity or taking traditional loans; repayment is tied to the performance of each player cohort. PvX commits over $1.3 billion in UA financing across 17 markets, combining its funding with Unity Vector's targeting tools to help growth-stage businesses scale. Eligible studios receive Unity Ads credits, enhanced support, and better invoicing terms, and must enroll in Unity's Developer Data Framework. This collaboration aims to expand financing access and accelerate growth in the competitive mobile apps industry.
MIT invests $5M in PvX Partners
Singapore-based PvX Partners has received a $5 million equity investment from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to expand its cohort financing platform for consumer apps and mobile games. PvX uses a machine-learning system called PvX Lambda to analyse marketing and performance data and underwrite user-acquisition campaigns. Founded in 2024, the company provides an alternative financing path between venture capital and traditional lenders. MIT joins an investor group that includes Play Ventures, General Catalyst, Storyhouse Ventures, Z Venture Capital, Drive by DraftKings, T-Accelerate Capital and Square Enix Holdings. PvX did not disclose terms of the investment. In April the company closed a $10.5 million Series A and says it has now surpassed $750 million in committed user-acquisition financing.
Xsolla and Pley partner to monetise browser ports
Xsolla has partnered with Pley to let Unity-based mobile game developers port, distribute and monetise titles via PC and mobile browsers. The deal gives developers access to over 700 payment methods across more than 200 geographies, addressing local payment gaps in markets such as Brazil, Poland, the Philippines, Mexico, MENA and Africa. Pley's Unity-native SDK enables browser ports without rebuilding core game logic and supports over 98% of desktop browsers; Pley Connect preserves cross-platform player progress. Xsolla and Pley said studios operating both mobile and browser channels see higher playtime (2.5x) and an estimated 50% reduction in player acquisition costs where browser channels are active.
