Mobile Games Earn $6.6B in July; Honor of Kings Leads
Sensor Tower data shows global mobile game consumer spending reached $6.6 billion in July 2026 across the App Store and Google Play, an almost 8% increase from June. Downloads hit 3.7 billion worldwide, up 2% month-over-month. Honor of Kings was the top grossing title in July, followed by Pokémon Go and Gossip Harbor, while Roblox was the most-downloaded game. Sensor Tower highlighted growing monetisation outside app stores: Monopoly Go generated $52.6m via its US webstore in June in addition to $90.1m from app-store IAPs, and miHoYo's US webstore share rose from 7% in H1 2024 to 57% in H1 2026. The report notes webstore revenue and ad monetisation can meaningfully change the competitive picture beyond app-store rankings.
Top 10 Grossing Mobile Games H1 2026
A mid-year analysis using AppMagic estimates ranks the top-grossing mobile games of 2026 so far. Tencent’s Honor of Kings leads, hitting a record monthly IAP of about $194M in January and remaining the top earner despite a June dip. Chinese studios occupy the top three slots with Century Games’ Whiteout Survival and FunFly’s LastWar; LastWar saw a sharp revenue decline to $71M in June after stronger 2025 numbers. Dream Games’ Royal Match and other titles such as PUBG Mobile, Microfun’s Gossip Harbor, Scopely’s Monopoly Go, King’s Candy Crush Saga, Roblox and Kingshot show varying IAP performance and volatility. AppMagic’s estimates exclude store fees, ad revenue, webshops and some China Android IAPs, so figures represent publisher payout-estimates only.
