Pluto TV Adds 200+ Horror Movies for Halloween
Pluto TV, Paramount's free ad-supported streaming service, is launching its largest-ever horror collection for October 2026. Beginning October 1, the 'Halloween Hits' on-demand library will feature over 200 titles spanning slashers, supernatural thrillers, found-footage films, horror-comedies, and franchise entries. Key groupings include the 'Scream' series celebrating its 30th anniversary, 'Friday the 13th' and 'Sleepaway Camp' franchises, 'Paranormal Activity' installments, Stephen King adaptations, early 'Resident Evil' films, and a 'Lighter Haunts' section with horror-comedies. The lineup also includes $100M box-office hits like 'World War Z' and 'A Quiet Place Part II', debuting October 11. Dedicated themed linear channels will complement the VOD offering. The collection mixes recent hits like 'Hereditary' and 'Talk to Me' with classics from the 1960s-1990s.
SiriusXM Brings Video Podcasts to Tubi
Tubi and SiriusXM announced a non-exclusive partnership to distribute a selection of SiriusXM’s video podcasts on Tubi. The deal will make shows available to Tubi’s roughly 100 million monthly active users and share advertising revenue between Tubi and SiriusXM Media. Initial titles include Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Rotten Mango, The School of Greatness, What Now? with Trevor Noah, Moral of the Story, and The Deep 3 Podcast, with more to follow. SiriusXM frames the move as expanding creator reach across devices and connected TVs, while Tubi says the partnership helps creators grow audiences and revenue and provides new ad options for brands.
YouTube Gives SiriusXM Exclusive Audio Ad Sales
YouTube has granted SiriusXM Media exclusive rights to sell its "audio-first" inventory in the U.S., covering background music streams, podcast playback and talk-format content. Under the arrangement, SiriusXM Media will offer the inventory as guaranteed impressions and advertisers who want to buy YouTube audio inventory in the U.S. must purchase it through SiriusXM Media; financial terms were not disclosed. YouTube approached SiriusXM about a year ago after internal data showed significant audio listening behavior on the platform. SiriusXM positions the deal as a way to grow audio ad spend by packaging YouTube listening as a distinct audio product, while observers note the move contrasts with closed, end-to-end ad stacks like Spotify’s.
