Spotify adds Podcast Clips sharing feature
Spotify introduced a Podcast Clips feature on May 27, 2026, allowing mobile listeners to extract, trim, preview and share short audio segments from episodes. The new scissors icon in the Now Playing view creates a shareable clip alongside existing share options (full episode link, chapter, timestamp). Saved clips are stored in users’ Spotify Library and can be added to podcast playlists. The feature is rolling out globally to free and Premium mobile users and will expand to more shows over time. Spotify also reported that its Chapters feature, launched earlier in the year, has been saved and added to playlists over 2 million times per month.
X Adds History Tab to Aggregate Bookmarks and Likes
X has introduced a new History Tab in its iOS app that consolidates content a user has previously liked, bookmarked, or interacted with — including longform articles and videos — to make it easier to find saved or previously viewed items. Head of Product Nikita Bier announced the feature on the platform. The History Tab organizes content under sections such as Content, Bookmarks/Likes, and Videos/Articles. Separately, X rolled out personalized timelines that let users select and pin feeds for more than 75 topics. The feature aims to improve content rediscovery and user experience by providing a persistent place to revisit content beyond the main timeline.
X launches History tab for saved and viewed content
X has launched a new History tab in its mobile app that consolidates bookmarks, likes, watched videos and read articles into one private space for users. Initially rolling out on iOS, the update renames the Bookmarks entry in the left-side menu to History and divides the page into four tabs — bookmarks, likes, videos and articles — with videos and articles populated automatically from what users watch or read. X head of product Nikitia Bier announced the change, which aims to make the app function more like a save-for-later/browser history tool and could encourage greater use of X’s long-form articles as publishers seek new distribution channels.
