Microsoft is consolidating its consumer Copilot app and Microsoft 365 Copilot into a single application and is retiring multiple underperforming AI features. According to Microsoft support documentation and reporting by GeekWire and The Information, features being removed for consumers by August 18, 2026 include Group Chats, AI-generated podcasts, Copilot Labs experimental features, and Deep Research. S&P Global announced an expanded collaboration with Microsoft to integrate S&P Global’s AI-ready data, insights and analytics into Microsoft 365 Copilot workflows and agentic experiences. The integration is enabled by the S&P Global AI Data Portal’s Deterministic Retrieval solution (referred to as the Kensho LLM-ready API) and includes connectors such as a Copilot in Excel connector and a plugin for Copilot Cowork.
