Ströer co-founder Udo Müller (63) is again leading the Cologne-based out-of-home advertising group alone as of early April 2026 after long-time co-CEO Christian Schmalzl (52) relinquished his mandate effective 31 March. Reverion, a German energy-tech startup originating from the Technical University of Munich, has raised $175 million (€154 million) in a Series B round led by climate-tech fund Kembara, with participation from Allianz, KfW Capital, Aurum Impact, and Carbon Equity. The funding will finance a new megafactory in Germany (likely in Bavaria), spanning about 100,000 square meters, boosting production to 250 MW annually and creating up to 800 jobs, including skilled blue-collar positions. Reverion's reversible solid-oxide fuel cells achieve 74.2% electrical efficiency, can store excess renewable energy as gas via electrolysis, and capture CO2 for carbon-neutral operation. Targeting AI data centers and heavy industry, the company has seven plants operating and a project pipeline exceeding $2 billion, with international deliveries planned.
