Senior Software Engineer - Real Time Product Engineering

This role focuses on developing real-time software for defense systems, ensuring low-latency and high-reliability performance. The engineer will work on embedded systems, sensor integration, and mission-critical applications, requiring expertise in real-time operating systems and performance optimization.

This Senior Software Engineer on the Real-Time Ad Serving team designs and owns the business logic for programmatic advertising, including ad selection, targeting, frequency capping, and budget pacing. The role primarily involves working in Lua on a C++ high-performance server framework, handling 200K+ requests per second with strict latency requirements. The engineer will collaborate with Product, participate in on-call rotation, and contribute to architecture discussions, with experience in ad tech (RTB, DSP/SSP) being a plus.

This role leads the design, build, and operation of the Zeta Marketing Platform's real-time events pipeline, which ingests and processes high-volume event data. The engineer will own the architecture for pipeline components, mentor team members, and partner with product and data teams to meet latency and throughput SLAs. The position requires 8-10 years of experience with event streaming (Kafka), Python services, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Designs and implements high-performance C++ software for mission-critical defense applications, optimizing for low latency and reliability. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate systems across hardware and software stacks.

Provides advanced customer support, handling complex inquiries and ensuring high satisfaction. Requires deep product knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.

Leads the development of analytics solutions and data products. Manages analytics teams, designs data models, and delivers insights to support business decisions.

Leads a service and quality team, overseeing service delivery standards and quality assurance processes. Focuses on team management, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
