PreSales Engineer

This Senior Sales Engineer role drives the technical side of the sales cycle for US mid-market and enterprise customers. The engineer partners with Account Executives to lead technical discoveries, understand customer architectures, and influence technical decision-making. Strong database expertise and solutioning ability are essential, with ETL/ELT or data warehouse experience preferred.

Provide technical expertise during sales cycles for PIM solutions. Demonstrate product capabilities, architect solutions, and support enterprise deals.

Delivers technical demonstrations and integrations to support sales. Works with prospects to map AfterShip solutions to their needs.

This role prototypes, tests, and delivers internal AI applications that improve efficiency across GTM teams (Marketing, Sales, BizOps). The role combines applied AI/ML knowledge, software engineering skills, and a strong understanding of GTM workflows to deliver practical, business-impacting solutions.

Manages post-sale relationships with retail clients, ensuring adoption, value realization, and retention of vision AI solutions. Acts as the primary point of contact for escalations and drives customer satisfaction.

Analyzes business data to generate insights on retail store performance and solution effectiveness. Supports data-driven decision-making for internal teams and customers, leveraging BI tools and analytics methodologies.

This role develops and deploys AI models for computer vision solutions targeting retail loss prevention and operational efficiency. The engineer will work with Python, deep learning frameworks, and large-scale video data to build and productionize models.
