EchoStar Completes Spectrum Sale to AT&T
EchoStar, the parent company of DISH, has closed its sale of wireless spectrum licenses to AT&T. The transaction, first announced in August 2025 and approved by the FCC in May 2026, is valued at roughly $23 billion and transfers nationwide spectrum including about 30 MHz of 3.45 GHz mid-band and about 20 MHz of 600 MHz low-band to AT&T. EchoStar framed the deal as part of efforts to resolve FCC inquiries about its 5G rollout; chairman Charlie Ergen highlighted EchoStar’s Open RAN deployment and milestone compliance. Deutsche Telekom Doubles Buyback, Calm on Starlink Threat
Deutsche Telekom said it will more than double its ongoing share buyback by up to €3 billion to a total of up to €5 billion, and together with dividends expects to return as much as €10 billion to shareholders in 2026. The Bonn-based group reported revenue of €29.93 billion (up 4.4%) and adjusted operating profit of €11.82 billion (up 7.5%), with free cash flow of €5.03 billion (up 3.1%).
