Key insights about Keystone-SDA
Category Differentiation
Keystone-SDA is a Swiss B2B news agency and multimedia content supplier, not a consumer social platform or adtech vendor. It sells editorial content, archives and communications services rather than operating a self-serve advertising platform.
Keystone-SDA: About
Keystone-SDA operates a B2B content and media services model. It creates proprietary editorial assets and distributes them through recurring subscription feeds, archive access and platform-based delivery into customer workflows. Value is created by combining national reporting coverage, multilingual newsroom production, visual archives and technical distribution. The company extends this core model with adjacent service revenue from commissioned production, communications support and curated information services for institutions and corporates.
How Keystone-SDA Works & Monetises

Cyberattack Hits Canton of Graubünden
The canton of Graubünden detected a cyberattack on its SharePoint environment, possibly exploiting the same vulnerability that affected Swiss federal SharePoint servers. Graubünden's Office for IT (AFI) found two files placed on July 29 whose code was not executed; an emergency update was scheduled that evening which would take the cantonal website offline for several hours. The federal incident earlier compromised about 200 accounts, and Microsoft had warned in mid‑July about multiple SharePoint vulnerabilities. Separately, Liechtenstein reported a large data theft of 31,000 records of companies, foundations and beneficial owners; perpetrators remain unknown in all cases.

Switzerland’s public broadcaster SRG plans to restart analogue FM (UKW) radio transmissions in autumn 2026 after political pressure and a December parliamentary motion. FM technical tests have been running since 20 July 2026, with Swisscom Broadcast AG conducting function checks at multiple sites on SRG’s behalf. The Federal Office of Communications (Bakom) is expected to issue the required UKW concession in August 2026. SRG had switched distribution to DAB+ and shut down UKW in January, a move linked to about a 6% market-share loss in the first half of 2025. SRG says tests continue, older equipment remains in use and contractual details with Swisscom are still being clarified. Initial operating costs are estimated at about CHF 6.6 million per year, with potential expansion costs up to CHF 15 million.
