Digital Garage

Digital Garage is a japanese payments platform, marketing services and investment group.

Analyst Perspective

Digital Garage, Inc. is a Japanese technology group whose core operating focus is payment infrastructure and adjacent B2B digital services. Its main economic engine is a payments-focused platform business led by enterprise-grade transaction processing, settlement and fraud prevention products for merchants, platforms and financial partners. The group also sells managed marketing services, operates smaller vertical SaaS products such as real-estate workflow software, and maintains an investment and incubation arm. The company makes money through transaction fees on payment volume, recurring software fees, managed service fees and investment-related gains. Its direct customers are businesses rather than consumers: enterprise merchants, retailers, e-commerce platforms, finance teams, property businesses, advertisers and institutional partners. The current strategic direction is a portfolio reorganisation towards higher-margin digital finance, deeper banking collaboration and selective AI-enabled product enhancement.

Category Differentiation

Digital Garage is a diversified Japanese B2B platform group, not a consumer hardware garage-tech brand or a pure-play advertising agency. Its core business is payment infrastructure and enterprise digital services, not a single media product.

Digital Garage: About

Digital Garage operates a hybrid platform-and-services model. It builds and runs proprietary B2B payment infrastructure that processes transactions for merchants and platforms, layers specialised software on top of those workflows, and cross-sells managed marketing and advertising capabilities to enterprise clients. Alongside operating revenues, it also creates value through strategic investments, incubation activity and balance-sheet monetisation of portfolio holdings.

How Digital Garage Works & Monetises

Business model analysis and core revenue streams

Digital Garage monetises through four mechanisms. First, its payment platforms generate transaction-based revenue through processing, settlement and related enterprise payment fees. Second, its software products generate recurring subscription revenue and platform access fees. Third, its managed marketing activities generate service fees, campaign management fees and media-related margins. Fourth, its investment arm generates capital gains, affiliate income and fund-related returns from portfolio transactions and strategic exits.

Encore AI raises $30M to build AI agents

Encore AI, formerly Insait IO, raised $30 million in a Series A round led by Team8 to expand its platform that trains and deploys AI voice and text agents from companies’ customer interactions. Founded in 2022 by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the startup analyzes call recordings, emails, and texts, links them to CRM systems, and uses a process it calls “interaction mining” to identify successful conversational playbooks. Encore has more than 40 enterprise customers (mostly financial institutions), reports ARR growth of over 5x since its seed round under 18 months ago, and plans to use the proceeds to expand U.S. sales and deploy with more large financial institutions. Other participants in the round included Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and some banks and insurers.
