Capnamic Invests €6.2M in Markt‑Pilot Seed Round

Market‑Pilot, a German B2B software startup founded in April 2020, raised a €6.2 million seed round led by VC Capnamic. Markt‑Pilot builds software to make spare‑parts pricing and sourcing for machine builders more transparent; about 70 companies (including Claas and John Deere) already use the product. The founders grew initial customer traction using handwritten acquisition letters (written by freelancers rather than robots) and report response rates above 80%. With the fresh capital Markt‑Pilot plans U.S. expansion, product development (including future price recommendations) and growth of its ~60‑person team. Capnamic Ventures is a newly launched multi-corporate venture fund founded by Jörg Binnenbrücker and Christian Siegele. It counts major backers such as Universal Music, Rheinische Post, Mediengruppe M. DuMont Schauberg, NRW.BANK, Nord-West-Zeitung, HR Alpha GmbH, and Gauselmann AG as investors in the first closing. The fund targets growth companies along the digital value chain and backs scalable themes including mobile, e-commerce, gaming, payments, advertising, and software services, with seed- and early-stage investments. The fund started with a mid-double-digit million-euro volume and remains open to additional investors for up to 12 months. In addition, Capnamic will manage the entire portfolio of DuMont Venture, the investment arm of M. DuMont Schauberg, which currently comprises more than 20 portfolio companies. Capnamic emphasizes a multi-corporate approach, connecting traditional and new players to support digital businesses in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
