A new Workforce Readiness Report from Skillsoft reveals that companies recognize skill gaps among employees yet continue assigning tasks that exceed their capabilities. This leads to failed AI implementations and quality assurance issues. Globally, 38% of managers spend more time verifying AI-generated work. In Germany, only about half of executives are confident their organization can address these gaps, compared to 62% worldwide. Among employees, only 29% in Germany (vs. 35% globally) share this confidence. Workers often wait up to a year for training, and 10% receive no support at all. The report highlights the urgent need for targeted upskilling and reskilling to ensure successful digital transformation.
