Sky's Kristina Freymuth Joins RTL as Deputy General Counsel

Kristina Freymuth, previously General Counsel at Sky Deutschland who led Sky’s antitrust clearance during the takeover, will join RTL Deutschland as Deputy General Counsel following the completion of RTL’s acquisition of Sky Deutschland. In her new role she will report to Ralph Sammeck, General Counsel at RTL Deutschland. RTL said Freymuth brings long-standing expertise in Pay‑TV business models, anti‑piracy and large rights tenders. The appointment continues a wider integration of senior Sky managers into RTL’s leadership, after RTL announced other Sky executives will join the future management team under Stephan Schmitter. RTL executives framed the hire as central to combining the strengths of both companies.
