OneRail launches AI delivery platform with Nvidia
Logistics company OneRail has launched OmniStar, an AI-powered platform developed with Nvidia, to help retailers make faster and more efficient last-mile delivery decisions. The platform evaluates all delivery options for each order using OneRail's proprietary data from a network of over 12 million drivers and 1,000 logistics partners. According to OneRail, decision time drops from 20 minutes to 2.5 minutes. The platform is already deployed with customers, including a large tire distributor that saved $40 million in run-rate costs over three years. OneRail expects OmniStar to surpass $6 billion in gross merchandise volume in Q4 2026. The company aims to help smaller retailers compete with giants like Amazon and Walmart, and it builds on an earlier partnership with FedEx for same-day delivery services.

The updated platform, which builds on a 2025 release, links trade planning, customs processing and compliance into a single digital workflow. New capabilities include AI-driven tariff suggestions, automated classification of large product catalogs, simulations of sourcing and production scenarios, continuous monitoring of regulatory changes, and a dialog-based AI interface that accepts text, product images and technical documents. Maersk says the solution targets trading companies, manufacturers, regulated industries and multinational firms with complex supply chains.
