Crypto / Wealth Management Market: Binance opens Capital Connect to wealthy individual investors

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is expanding its Capital Connect platform, previously limited to institutional investors, to include wealthy individual investors who hold at least $1 million in assets. The platform, built on Binance's Portfolio Account infrastructure, allows investors to compare and invest in professional strategies managed by trading teams, akin to separately managed accounts in traditional finance. Since May, the number of portfolios has roughly doubled to 212 portfolios from 77 trading teams as of September. Initially crypto-only, the platform now includes strategies incorporating traditional financial instruments, as Binance also expands its offerings around perpetual futures linked to pre-IPO and public companies, positioning itself as a competitor to traditional wealth management and financial institutions.
