Cybersecurity Market: Beelzebub Raises €3M for AI-Powered Enterprise Cyber Defence

Beelzebub, an Italy-based cybersecurity startup, has raised €3 million in a seed round led exclusively by United Ventures. The investment follows a €300,000 pre-seed round, bringing the company's total funding to €3.3 million. Founded by Mario Candela, Beelzebub develops an AI-native platform designed to protect organisations from AI-driven cyberattacks. The platform operates on an assumed-breach model, combining attack simulation, deception technology, and automated threat analysis. Its three components are Arcangelo, which simulates targeted attacks; Beelzebub Managed, which deploys AI-powered decoy infrastructure; and Caronte, an AI malware analyst that reverse-engineers malicious software. Available as SaaS or on-premises, the platform is designed to help organisations meet NIS2 compliance requirements. The startup plans to expand its research team, open offices in Rome and San Francisco, and accelerate customer acquisition across Europe.
