Associate Director, Research – European Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology Regulation

This Director/Associate Director supports the vision and strategic direction for the company's global regulatory function, reporting to the VP, Head of Regulatory. The role is accountable for driving regulatory strategy, influencing external regulatory policy, ensuring global compliance, and preparing materials for high-level interactions with health authorities, while developing the next generation of regulatory leaders.

This Director provides strategic leadership and operational compliance for the company's product messaging, serving as a senior regulatory subject-matter expert. The role leads cross-functional teams in developing promotional materials to ensure compliance with global regulatory markets, captures potential regulatory risks, and partners with executive leadership to guide regulatory strategy for the cancer detection portfolio.

This role leads the delivery of advanced data science projects within WPP Media's UK Analytics team, translating complex analytical requirements into robust, implementable solutions. The Associate Director will apply sophisticated techniques like propensity and attribution modelling, contribute hands-on to specialised modelling efforts, and manage projects from conception to delivery. Expert-level Python proficiency and experience with SQL, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and MLOps principles are essential for this technical leadership position.

This Associate Director, Research Insights role manages research projects supporting planning, investment, and client teams, translating business questions into research approaches and analyzing audience, consumer, and marketplace data. The role develops presentations and POVs, leverages AI and emerging technologies to enhance research, and supports research operations including vendor contracts and subscriptions. Requires 6-8+ years of media research or consumer insights experience and proficiency with AI-enabled tools and LLMs.
