Finale! Am Sonntag, 13. September, kämpfen vier Dörfer um den Titel „Das dollste Dorf 2026“. Das hr-fernsehen überträgt ab 17.30 Uhr das zweistündige Spektakel live. Auf dem Gelände des Hessischen Rundfunks (hr) gehen Uttershausen (Schwalm-Eder-Kreis), Ebersgöns (Wetteraukreis), Hetschbach, (Odenwaldkreis) und Katholisch-Willenroth (Main-Kinzig-Kreis) ins Rennen um den goldenen Onkel Otto und den begehrten Titel.

Rekordtemperaturen, verheerende Waldbrände und langanhaltende Dürreperioden prägen zunehmend die Sommer in Europa. Besonders die Mittelmeerregion gilt als einer der Hotspots des Klimawandels – mit Folgen auch für Deutschland. ARD-Meteorologe Sven Plöger untersucht für seinen Film „Wie extrem wird das Wetter, Sven Plöger? - Klima-Hotspot Mittelmeer“, der am Montag, 14. September, um 20.15 Uhr im Ersten ausgestrahlt wird, wie sich die Region verändert und welche Zukunft unser Sehnsuchtsziel hat. Bereits ab dem 12. September ist der Film in der ARD Mediathek zu sehen.

Jana Cebulla to lead RBB Brandenburg offering

Jana Cebulla has been appointed as the head of the RBB's Brandenburg regional offering, a newly created position. The appointment was made by the broadcaster's broadcast council for a five-year term, following a proposal by RBB Director-General Ulrike Demmer. Cebulla, who joined RBB from MDR a few months ago, had been leading the program management department. The creation of this role responds to the perception that Brandenburg is underrepresented in RBB's programming, a matter also addressed by the RBB state treaty negotiated with authorities. The broadcaster's earlier legal challenge against the treaty's provisions was rejected by the constitutional court. In her new role, Cebulla will coordinate and advise across departments to ensure Brandenburg's perspectives are adequately considered in planning and decision-making processes. Notably, a similar leadership position for the Berlin offering will not be filled.
