Category Differentiation

tesa is an industrial and consumer adhesives manufacturer, not an adtech, martech or SaaS vendor. Its digital tools support product selection and usage, but the company monetises physical products rather than subscription software.

tesa: About

tesa creates value by developing, manufacturing and distributing adhesive tapes and self-adhesive solutions tailored to specific industrial processes and consumer use cases. Its business model is product-led: it monetises a broad portfolio of physical SKUs sold into recurring operational workflows such as packaging, printing, insulation, mounting and assembly. Digital calculators and advisory tools improve product fit, reduce application error and support downstream sales, but they are not standalone commercial software products.

How tesa Works & Monetises

Business model analysis and core revenue streams

tesa monetises primarily through one-off and repeat sales of physical adhesive products across industrial and consumer markets. Commercial revenue comes from bulk B2B supply contracts, distributor sales and retail sell-through. Pricing is driven by product specification, application requirements and order volume. Its online calculators, advisors and matching tools are provided free of charge to support product discovery, reduce friction in product choice and lift conversion into core product sales.
